MEET MARGUERITE
Marguerite A. Fletcher, Esq. is the President of Fletcher Consulting, LLC, and a diversity consultant, keynote speaker, and facilitator. Born in Kingston, Jamaica, she is a graduate of the Harvard Law School and the Georgetown University School of Foreign Service.
Marguerite’s career began as a corporate attorney with Hale and Dorr (now known as Wilmer Hale). She later worked as in-house counsel for technology firms IBM/Lotus Development Corporation and Genuity, Inc. before starting her own law practice. Throughout her legal career, Marguerite was engaged in diversity efforts through recruiting and helping to establish programs to increase the retention and advancement of employees of color.
In 2006, Marguerite began working formally as a DEI practitioner with leading firms Vernā Myers Consulting Group and Ibis Consulting Group. Today, Marguerite uses her experience as a transactional attorney, diversity consultant, and career coach to guide clients toward building more inclusive organizations.
Marguerite has been active for many years with the Boston Bar Association, most notably as a member of the Steering Committee of the Diversity and Inclusion Section. She was a member of LeadBoston Class of 2018 and The Partnership Fellows Class of 1991, and is currently the Chair of the Board of YW Boston. She resides in Newton.
